We are seeking a Civil Designer specialising in land development to join a collaborative engineering team delivering residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects. In this role, you will contribute to the planning and design of civil infrastructure from concept through to construction documentation, working closely with civil engineers, project managers, surveyors, planners, authorities and external consultants. This is an opportunity to work on a varied project portfolio while developing your technical expertise in a supportive and professional environment.

Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed civil engineering designs and documentation for earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, water and sewer infrastructure, utilities and associated land development elements. You will produce accurate design drawings, layouts, plans, profiles, details and technical schedules using relevant design software, and assist with quantity calculations, cost estimates, design reports and approval submissions. You will also review survey information, undertake design checks, coordinate project information, respond to technical queries and support the preparation of construction documentation. Where required, you may assist with site inspections, construction support and liaison with contractors to help ensure designs are implemented safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved documentation.

To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in civil design, preferably within a land development or infrastructure consultancy environment. Proficiency with AutoCAD and civil design platforms such as Civil 3D, 12d or equivalent is essential, along with a sound understanding of relevant engineering principles, standards, guidelines and approval processes. A relevant qualification in civil engineering, drafting or a related discipline will be highly regarded. You will be detail-oriented, organised and capable of managing priorities across multiple projects, with strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach. The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, together with a commitment to quality, safety and continuous learning, will be important in this position.
