Experienced Civil Designer required to provide technical design and drafting support to civil engineering teams delivering a diverse portfolio of Property and Defence projects.

The role contributes to the planning, development, coordination, documentation, and implementation of civil infrastructure and site development works throughout all project phases, from concept design through to construction and project completion.

What you’ll do:

Working closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other multidisciplinary specialists, the Civil Designer will be responsible for preparing and coordinating design documentation, developing and maintaining digital models and drawings, supporting design reviews and quality assurance processes, and assisting with constructed services.

The role plays a key part in ensuring project deliverables are produced efficiently, safely, and in accordance with client requirements, applicable standards, and quality management procedures.

  • Work on iconic projects within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of civil engineering design projects
  • Support the wider team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents
  • Carry out assigned project and 12D design work as part of an integral team adhering to technical and commercial standards
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to team approach and outcomes
  • Provide ongoing continuous improvement and development inputs to create more efficient workflows within the team

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor to Masters’ level degree
  • 7-10 years industry experience within the Building and Property sector.
  • Commercial experience in Australia on local medium/large building civil engineering projects.
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence security clearance is essential – only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible).
  • Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Design software eg; 12D, Civil 3D etc.
  • Experience with Earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage and utilities
  • Experience with executing BIM and 3D modelling project delivery methods
  • Familiarity with working with point cloud surveys would be highly regarded
