Your Opportunity
Stantec's Gaithersburg, MD office is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer with strong land development and general civil engineering experience to come join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will come with a background of supporting the civil/site engineering aspects for a variety of projects, with a foundation of strong engineering/design skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
- This role will be responsible for the success of all assigned projects while working on large scale & highly visible development projects (residential, commercial, industrial, mixed use) as well as public sector facilities (parks, schools, etc.,) throughout the Maryland and Washington D.C. area.
- Perform and direct all aspects of civil engineering design including grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, dry utility and erosion control, stormwater management and traffic control plans.
- Process construction permits through local permitting agencies.
- Familiarity with plan approval and permitting in various counties within state of Maryland and District of Columbia.
- Familiar with utility design requirements.
- Plan and execute QA/QC plan for individual projects
