Stantec’s Indianapolis water infrastructure projects include large and small projects for new and existing clients in the water, wastewater, stormwater, and flood control sectors of the Indianapolis market. Our conveyance team is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to improve and expand this critical infrastructure—everything from force mains and sanitary sewers to hydraulic structures, pipelines, open channels, and storage. Our water resources teams deal with converging impacts of climate change, aging infrastructure, and expanded development. With expertise in heavy civil planning and design, flood control, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and natural surface water systems, our team is committed to supporting projects that address the greatest infrastructure needs our communities face today. Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform more advanced engineering design tasks on assigned projects under minimal supervision, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for various sized projects, and position for potential projects with support from marketing and other business development professionals, writing technical portions of proposals, leading client interviews and leading negotiations for project contracts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in client project requirement meetings, coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors in preparation and coordination of project specifications.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Perform on technically complex projects and may act as a technical resource to other team members.
• Apply advanced knowledge of current principles and practices of civil engineering and keeps informed of new methods and developments.
• Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve complex issues where precedent may be limited.
• Contribute to the development of new standards and specifications of civil design.
• May supervise the work of other project resources, including setting the project budget and their schedules for completing the work in conjunction with Project Manager(s).
• Engineer of record on own work product, work of non licensed engineers and technologist.
