Civil Engineer (Structural)

This is a DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce solicitation to recruit qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This announcement establishes a pool of candidates to fill current and future positions. We accept applications continuously during the open period of this announcement. The first cut-off date for reviewing applications will be 9/28/2026. Applications received after the initial cut-off date will be considered as needed.

At the full performance level, you will serve as a senior Structural Engineer. You will:

Provide technical direction, guidance and assistance to other employees assigned to assist in project or assignment completion.

Study design data and establish basic design criteria.

Coordinate with other organizational elements for additional or updated data and criteria needed for design purposes.

Develop structural engineering plans and sketches using CAD and BIM software.

Conduct periodic technical and special inspections to document project conditions.

Perform professional engineering work with the primary responsibility of planning, coordinating, preparing, and reviewing structural engineering design and technical specifications in support of agency projects.
