Civil Engineer

About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Civil Engineer with wide latitude of independent action and decision to accomplish the mission of the organization assigned.

As a Civil Engineer, the incumbent utilizes professional engineering knowledge and techniques to plan and coordinate all assigned surveying and mapping functions, to include in-house surveys and surveys performed by contract.

Provides technical expertise, judgment and guidance to counterparts within the District, other Governmental agencies, private interests and A-E firms.

Evaluates geodatabases and other geospatial data files generated from periodic inspections for quality assurance and coordinates with District data manager for inclusion of data in District eGIS.

Coordinates with other senior engineers within Division to ensure that surveys produced from UAS are accurate and meet requirements.
