Civil Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Subject matter expert on civil engineering for dam safety modification and related products of the Southwest Division Dam Safety Production Center.

Plans, programs, schedules, directs, coordinates, advises, and review the work of assigned technicians in developing center related products.

Collaborates with USACE research labs to develop data that extends understanding of the civil aspects of dams.

Conducts training seminars and workshops for regional field engineers and other agency personnel.

Provides expert consulting services and technical assistance related to civil engineering within the region.

Completes complex civil and site design and layout of dam safety modification products.

Develops innovative construction sequencing, material handling and scheduling.
