The Chicago office is looking for a talented Civil Engineer to support large and small projects for new and existing clients in the water, wastewater, stormwater and flood control sectors of the Chicago market. Your Key Responsibilities

• You perform broad, varied and diverse engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of the lead or manager, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
• You assist senior engineers/designers in developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule.
• You assist the senior project civil engineer in preparing the conceptual, preliminary and final design and attends client project requirement meetings.
• You are involved in the permit process, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.
• You prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• You coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
• You confirm adherence to construction specifications during each phase of a project. Monitor project progress, inspect construction sites, and verify calculations and placements.
• You are the Engineer of record on own work product and that of more junior staff.
