Job Description

The company announces the availability of a Civil Engineer position for full-time work at the project site in Kuwait City.

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, overseeing project execution, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role includes collaboration with team members and ensuring adherence to safety standards while providing technical solutions during project execution.

Main Responsibilities

• Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings and ensure their compliance with project requirements.
• Directly supervise site execution works and monitor the quality of work according to approved specifications.
• Prepare and review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and track executed works and quantities.
• Prepare and follow up on payment certificates and contractor and supplier invoices.
• Prepare variation requests and technical and financial proposals, compare and analyze them.
• Prepare and update work plans and schedules and follow up on actual project completion rates.
• Prepare periodic reports on work progress and submit them to management.
• Monitor work through electronic systems and project management software and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with design, execution teams, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project efficiency.
• Contribute to solving technical issues and finding appropriate engineering solutions during execution.
• Apply occupational health and safety standards and adhere to established regulations and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively and contribute to performance improvement and achieving company and project goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in finishing works is required.
• Ability to work in various areas of Kuwait on multiple projects.
• Experience in executing private residential projects.
• Experience in high-end finishing projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of project management and tracking schedules and completion rates.
• Proficiency in using the following engineering software:
• AutoCAD
• Revit
• Primavera P6
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong skills in planning, organizing, and time management.
• Excellent skills in preparing technical and administrative reports.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Membership in the Kuwait Society of Engineers or the ability to obtain it is considered an additional advantage.

· Ability to utilize artificial intelligence tools, including ChatGPT, effectively to support task completion and improve productivity and work quality.

· A valid driver's license and vehicle are required.
