AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate - Highway Planning and Design for our Transportation team based in Markham, Ontario.

This position is for a newly created position with a target start date of January or May 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working within the Highway Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
  • Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
  • Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidisciplinary design engineers, technicians, and planners
  • Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assisting with tasks including preparing engineering-related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
  • Following corporate quality procedures

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads/OpenRoads, and InfraWorks
  • Relevant internship or professional work experience supporting transportation design
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
