Civil Engineering Manager
Requirements
- Preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Serve as the point of contact for Japanese stakeholders and HQ management. Effectively translate tender strategies, project status updates, and technical challenges into actionable reports for Japanese leadership, ensuring local activities align with HQ corporate governance.
- Direct the integration and coordination of sub-contractor and EPC schedules, ensuring seamless alignment between the master schedule, tender commitments, and critical path execution.
- Establish and enforce scheduling procedures and coding standards (WBS/OBS/CBS). Ensure the highest level of data quality and maintain rigorous audit trails for both tender submissions and ongoing project documentation.
- Lead project and tender clarification meetings with stakeholders, manage executive reporting, and track key action items to ensure organizational accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated track record in preparing tender proposals, including technical writing, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
- Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams, including the preparation and updating of complex schedules and progress reports.
- Strong understanding of Japanese corporate reporting culture and decision-making styles; ability to navigate cross-cultural communication to drive project success.
- Fluency in Japanese is required due to regular engagement and reporting with Japanese Headquarters
