Civil Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operations and maintenance of batching plant
- Plan for sufficient manpower and trucks for daily production
- Ensure cost control practices in sludge, W2, diesel, concrete recycling and manpower allocation
- Perform daily checks, maintenance, and arrange necessary repairs for plant equipment
- Receive and ensure accurate pumping of various cement, admixtures and diesel at the batching plant
- Attend coordination meetings and prepare for delivery and concreting arrangements
- Assist with mockup testing and installation of monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality
- Monitor concrete conditions (e.g. surface, temperature) and support proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete
- Support quality checks, defect identification and repair work at batching plant and customer sites
- Liaise with customers to meet expectations and maintain strong relationships
- Ensure concrete quality by following SOPs during production
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings with staff, workers and drivers before commencing the production
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- ITE NITEC / Diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply
- General Welding Certificate with experience in gas cutting
- Experience with working in concrete batching plant /machines maintenance is an advantage
- Singapore Class 3 driving license
- Able to read/ understand and communicate in English
- Willing to work on rotating shift hours
