- Provide overall project oversight to ensure clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables are established, communicated, and met.
- Coordinate regularly with developers, consulting engineers, and internal stakeholders to obtain plans, clarify project requirements, and resolve design and engineering issues.
- Review electrical and natural gas utility design plans to ensure proper coordination and placement within residential lots and site layouts.
- Develop and prepare fit matrices to support accurate product placement, lot fit analysis, and community planning decisions.
- Oversee and support the preparation of overall grading and site hold down plans for residential communities or project phases, including earthwork calculations and grading adjustments to achieve balanced site conditions.
- Oversee and support the preparation of residential plot plans, including home placement, finished floor elevations, lot grading design, earthwork analysis, and plan annotations.
- Review municipal ordinances, zoning requirements, and subdivision regulations to establish appropriate design criteria and ensure compliance.
- Ensure coordination of survey base maps and field data integration into design deliverables.
- Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D as needed to support production workflows, including alignments, profiles, surfaces, corridors, and drawing management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Surveying, Construction, and other departments to ensure alignment of design intent and field execution.
- Assist in managing cross-department process development, workflow improvements, and design standards.
- Provide responsive and professional support to internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Review and assist with design revisions, RFIs, and change requests impacting grading, layout, or site design.
- Ensure quality control of engineering and surveying deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a Civil Project Manager, Civil Engineer, or similar role within a consulting firm, land developer, or homebuilder.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
- PA Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong understanding of municipal approvals, land development processes, and NPDES permitting requirements.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, assemblies, corridors, surfaces, and drawing management.
- Strong background in grading design, earthwork analysis, and residential site development.
- Ability to interpret field survey data and integrate it into engineering and design workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of land development disciplines, including grading, drainage, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and residential construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, survey documents, subdivision plats, and residential architectural drawings.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and support multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage evolving project requirements effectively.
- Strong commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Regular, consistent work hours are required, with punctual attendance and minimal absences.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as workload demands.
- Primarily seated. At times, this position may require bending, squatting, kneeling, standing, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling. Occasionally, there may be lifting up to 25 pounds.
