Reports To: Department Manager
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) license (State of Indiana required, Kentucky License is a plus)
Experience: Not less than 5–10 years of Civil Site Design experience
Duties:
- Develop engineering designs, including grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater management plans, and roadway geometry, for site plans.
- Prepare construction documents, plans, specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare site assessments and conceptual layouts.
- Coordinate with office staff to provide timely cost estimates and quotes as necessary
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for site drainage and stormwater design.
- Evaluate site data to provide design decisions.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, zoning codes, environmental regulations, and permit requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with permitting agencies to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to design standards and process improvements.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to company and industry design standards.
