Civil & Structural (C&S) Design Engineer (Junior / Senior)

Designs and analyzes structural components for buildings and infrastructure in Singapore, preparing submissions for regulatory approval and coordinating with architects and contractors.
Role Summary
The C&S Design Engineer will be responsible for engineering analysis, structural design modeling, and drafting technical submissions for residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Senior candidates will additionally lead project engineering teams, liaise with clients/authorities, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, prestigious steel structures, piling, and foundation systems.
Authority Submissions: Prepare structural plans, calculations, and drawing packages for submission to BCA, URA, and other relevant regulatory bodies under CORENET.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, M&E engineers, main contractors, and site supervision teams (RE/RTO) to resolve technical design challenges.
[Senior Post Only]: Act as the lead engineer on complex projects, assist the Qualified Person (QP), manage project timelines, and guide junior design engineers.
Job Requirements
Education: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
Experience:
Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience in structural design consulting. (Competent fresh graduates may be considered).
Senior: Minimum 5+ years of local C&S consultancy experience, with a track record of handling structural design from concept to completion.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., TEKLA Tedds, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE) and AutoCAD/BIM (Revit). Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and BCA building control regulations.
