Position Summary
The Civil Crew plays a critical role in supporting TCE’s telecommunications construction projects, including new tower builds, modifications, and site development. This hands-on team is responsible for ground preparation, concrete work, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and general site cleanup. Civil Crew Members work closely with the Tower, Electrical, and RF teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to TCE’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and construction of tower foundations, shelters, and site compounds.
- Operate hand and power tools, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipment.
- Perform concrete forming, pouring, and finishing.
- Install conduits, grounding systems, rebar cages, and fencing as directed.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following TCE’s safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Travel to job sites throughout the Midwest and neighboring states as required. Overnight stays may be necessary.
- Promptly report equipment issues, hazards, or site concerns to the Civil Foreman.
