The Opportunity

Responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving first-party automobile claims from initial report to final settlement. Provides exceptional customer service by guiding policyholders through the claims process, confirming coverage, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring claims are handled fairly, accurately, and efficiently. Maintains detailed claim documentation, processes payments within authority limits, and manages salvage and subrogation activities where applicable. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely claim resolutions while meeting productivity, quality, and service standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

What to Expect

  • Report to the Team Leader and will be responsible for investigating and settling first-party automobile
  • Provide prompt, courteous, accurate and fair claims service to all customers, internal and external
  • Manage auto telephone claims until resolution
  • Fully explain the claim process to all customers in a way they’ll easily understand
  • Confirm whether claims are covered under a customer’s policy
  • Ensure all claims are promptly investigated
  • Work with the customer and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve the claim
  • Maintain detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Process claims payments within your authority level
  • Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned claims
  • Achieve the targeted number of assigned claims per year, while living our core values and meeting competencies
  • Achieve and maintain a file disposition rate of 100% on a monthly basis

What you Bring

  • Minimum completion of DEC or Attestation of College Studies (ACS)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required
  • personal insurance license (5b) mandatory and Commercial insurance license (5a) preferred.
  • Candidates who are currently studying for their insurance license will also be considered for employment.
  • Experience handling automobile with a good understanding of terminology and auto policies
  • Previous customer service is a definite asset
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to navigate through numerous screens and systems quickly and easily
  • Professional, friendly and courteous to customers
  • Able to thrive under pressure and remain calm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Salary range below is indented for candidates who hold a valid license

Salary Range: $60,000 and $72,000

High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.
