Claims Support Specialist
About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Support Specialist to join our team. This role provides critical administrative and operational support across the claims lifecycle, with a focus on compliance-related data collection, claims administration, reporting, and data integrity. You will work closely with claims adjusters, operations, and leadership, including direct outreach to customers via phone and email, to gather required information, resolve outstanding items, and ensure claims data is accurate and complete.
Please note that this is an hourly, overtime-eligible role.
What you'll do
- Contact customers directly via phone and email to collect compliance-related information needed to support claim handling and regulatory requirements
- Support claims administration by following up on and resolving outstanding items to keep claims moving toward resolution
- Perform high-volume, accurate data entry and maintain claim records, ensuring data integrity across claims systems by reviewing, auditing, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in partnership with adjusters and internal teams
- Support claim reporting activities by validating outputs and ensuring data shared internally and externally is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Manage data-related and compliance-related task queues, meeting defined SLAs
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of experience with direct customer contact via phone and email, demonstrating a calm, empathetic approach to supporting customers through the claims process
- 2+ years of experience in a data-focused, administrative, compliance, or customer-facing support role within insurance, compliance, or a similar environment, such as:
- Claims support or claims data entry
- Policy administration
- Database or records management
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high data accuracy
- Experience with data entry, validation, and reporting processes
- Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, and similar tools used for reporting and reconciliation; experience with Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools is a plus
- Ability to manage high-volume work while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
