CLASS 4 DRIVER
Job Title: Prime Mover Driver
Job Summary:We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and safety-conscious Prime Mover Driver to transport containers, trailers, and cargo between designated locations. The successful candidate must have the appropriate driving licence, a good understanding of road safety regulations, and the ability to handle heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
Operate prime mover trucks safely to transport containers, trailers, and cargo to designated locations.
Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Ensure containers and cargo are properly secured before transportation.
Follow assigned delivery schedules, routes, and instructions from the operations team.
Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with customers, warehouse personnel, port operators, and the operations team regarding deliveries and collections.
Complete delivery orders, trip records, and other required documentation accurately.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or other operational issues promptly.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
Ensure timely delivery and collection of containers while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.
Job Requirements
Possess a valid Class 4 or Class 5 driving licence, as required for the assigned vehicle in Singapore.
Previous experience driving a prime mover or heavy vehicle is preferred.
Familiarity with container transportation, port operations, and local road routes is an advantage.
Good knowledge of traffic rules and heavy vehicle safety procedures.
Physically fit and able to perform duties related to vehicle inspections and cargo checks.
Responsible, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Able to work independently and follow instructions.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, or shifts when required.
Must comply with all applicable Singapore driving and employment regulations.
