Downer is proud to be delivering key pavement projects across Auckland!

We are looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver Operator to join our Pavements team. This role is critical to supporting sealing and paving operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment across project sites.

You’ll be part of a tight-knit crew, working across a variety of construction, renewal, and maintenance projects throughout the region.

This is predominately a night shift position (including some day shifts), with the working week being from Sunday to Thursday.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You will be a reliable, safety-focused operator who takes pride in your work. You’ll also bring:

  • Full Class 4 licence (essential)
  • Proven experience operating truck & trailer units, ideally within civil/roading environments
  • WTR endorsements (preferred but not essential)
  • Good spatial awareness and confidence manoeuvring in tight or active work sites
  • A strong commitment to health & safety practices
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider crew
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
