Job Purpose

· Ensure on-time delivery to customers and adhere to safe driving regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Ensure all daily delivery orders (DOs) entrusted are delivered to customers according to the schedule given. Any delay in fulfillment must be communicated back to the Traffic Controller.

· Verify, submit and ensure all delivery orders (DOs) daily are completed daily with clean PODs (Proof Of Delivery)

· Maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.

· To ensure trucks/equipment are checked daily for road worthiness before operating and carry out regular cleaning and basic maintenance for the assigned vehicle

· To strictly drive a truck and manage equipment under the authorized classification of vehicle operations allowed under the regulatory authority.

· To ensure safe driving practices and contribute productively to expeditious job completion.

· Display teamwork within the team to ensure productivity targets / KPIs are met.

· Ensure daily delivery are accident-free with no vehicle breakdowns.

· Manage the daily delivery through monitoring of vehicle condition and delivery assistant health status.

· Assess the load and prepare trucks for loading and ensure proper stacking and lashing to prevent cargo from falling or becoming loose during the delivery trip.

· Supervise the Delivery Assistant assigned to execute the job as a team. For One-Man-Operations (OMO),the driver is solely responsible for the job execution and manual cargo handling management.

· Assist the Traffic Controller in the investigation and completion of CAPA reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years’ similar class driving experience with a clean driving record.

· Experience in route planning and distribution operations.

· Possess a valid Singapore Class 5 Driving Licence.

· Good awareness, familiarity, and hands-on experience in various modes of transportation and cargo handling techniques in the logistics industry, including import/export customs documentation and procedures.

· Knowledge of local, air, and sea shipment handling processes, road regulations, restricted facilities, and logistics arrangements.

· Ability to plan and supervise the work of others with an “eye for detail.”

· Minimum PSLE, with basic logistics and delivery experience.
