Local CDL-A Dedicated Driver – West Haven, CT Yard

Job Basics & Terminal Location

• Base Location: West Haven yard facility located at 4 Industry Drive, West Haven, CT.
• Operation: Dedicated local support fleet operating out of the West Haven yard while servicing the North Hatfield hub.
• Equipment: Tractor-trailer units equipped with lift-gates. Daily start and end point is the West Haven yard (personal commuter transportation to the yard is required daily).

Compensation & Pay Scale

• Annual Earnings: Estimated between $100,000 and $110,000 gross per year.
• Mileage Pay: $0.52 to $0.56 per mile.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 total bonus payout.
• Accessorial & Daily Pay:
• • $50 per day shift rate (contingent on completing all 5 scheduled workdays).
  • $42 per stop inside NYC Boroughs.
  • $45 lift-gate pay.
  • $21 drop-and-hook pay.
  • Detention compensation paid in 15-minute increments.
  • Safety orientation pay at $20 per hour.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Dispatch Times: Early morning dispatches starting between 01:30 AM and 04:00 AM.
• Shift Length: Daily shifts averaging 12 to 14 hours.
• Days Off: Split days off consisting of Sunday plus one designated weekday (guaranteed not to be Monday). Note: Mandatory 6-day workweeks apply during peak holiday shipping seasons.

Hiring Requirements & Compliance

• Experience: Minimum of 9 months of verified Class-A tractor-trailer experience.
• Drug Testing: Pre-employment screening requiring both a hair follicle test and a urine drug screen.
• Transportation: Drivers must have reliable personal transportation to commute to and from the West Haven yard daily.
