Class A CDL Route Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. The driver will be responsible for unloading each load and placing it in the store. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks.

Duties

• Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Load and unload freight as required, utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks and easy sled.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Drive manual transmission vehicles as needed for specific deliveries.
• Ensure the safe transportation of goods while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Manage route driving efficiently to optimize time and fuel usage.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
