Class A Driver

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport doors to customer locations.
• Maneuver and position doors within the trailer to access the correct products for each delivery.
• Strap and unstrap doors inside the trailer to ensure products remain properly secured during transportation.
• Sort through doors and carefully verify orders to ensure the correct doors are delivered to the correct customers.
• Safely move doors to the rear of the trailer in preparation for unloading.
• Coordinate with customers who are expected to assist with unloading.
• Unload doors independently when customer assistance is unavailable.
• Handle doors carefully to prevent damage to the product, property, or equipment.
• Verify deliveries against paperwork, delivery tickets, or customer orders.
• Obtain required delivery signatures and document any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Maintain safe load securement throughout the route.
• Loading and unloading doors from a trailer.
• Moving and maneuvering doors to the rear of the trailer.
• Repeatedly climbing into and out of the trailer.
• Strapping and unstrapping doors throughout the route.
• Sorting and organizing doors within the trailer.
• Safely unloading doors without assistance when necessary.
• Working in various weather conditions.
• Potential for skids of slab doors to be delivered via pallet jack.

Requirements

This is a physically active delivery position. While customers are expected to assist with unloading the doors, the driver must be prepared to safely unload the delivery independently when customer assistance is not available. The driver must also be comfortable repeatedly strapping, unstrapping, sorting, organizing, and maneuvering doors inside the trailer to ensure each customer receives the correct order.???????
