About the Role
Our Syracuse location is looking for an experienced Class B Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a driving-first role. Most of your day will be spent safely delivering flooring products to customers and job sites across the region, loading and securing material, and making sure every order arrives complete and on time. When you’re not on the road, you will help out in the warehouse with pulling orders, receiving shipments, and keeping things organized.
This role is best suited for someone who already holds a Class B CDL, has a clean driving record, and is comfortable handling heavy, bulky material safely.

Minimum Requirements (Please review before applying)

• A valid, clean New York State Class B CDL - this is required
• A clean driving record and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
• A valid DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one, and the ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and handle heavy or awkward materials throughout the shift
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Applicants who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be considered for this position.

What You’ll Do

• Safely deliver flooring products to customers and job sites in a company Class B truck
• Load, unload, and properly secure material for transport
• Verify orders before departure and confirm accurate, complete deliveries at each stop
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and required DOT paperwork
• Represent Spartan professionally with customers and contractors on site
• Assist in the warehouse with pulling and staging orders, receiving shipments, and keeping the space clean, organized, and safe

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience (certification a plus)
• Experience delivering flooring, building materials, or similar heavy products
• Familiarity with the Syracuse and Central New York area
• Experience with liftgates, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb in and out of the truck, and move material throughout the shift
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather

Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
