Classification Agent

Support the outbound clearance and the export process within established standards and transit times.

Responsibilities:

• Portray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with customers
• Support with the practical experience and knowledge in daily activities to achieve goals and objectives
• Liaise with customs officials on specific duties payable and problem shipments.
• Coordinate with Terminal Operator about manifest amendment
• Build-up the co-operative relationship with the practical levels in HUB & Gateway and provide the positive attitude /solution when necessary
• Ensure the accurate preparation of Export Customs declarations and the timely provision of those for review (as required)
• Ensure that customer databases are maintained
• Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with internal customers.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures
• Coordinate with Customs Clearance team for additional info, paper work, related data and document
• Ensure that physical movement of Dangerous Goods and Medical Express/WMX cargo meets customers and internal requirements and is completed in an efficient and safe manner.

Qualifications

• 3 years relevant experience of working with customs clearance matters within transportation, logistics or import / export industry
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Strong Thai customs regulations & Solid customs tariff knowledge
• Detail oriented, Planning and organizing
• Numerical skills
• Speed typing
• Fair English proficiency
• Good interpersonal skills
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skill set; MS Word, MS Excel
• Basic paperless system knowledge and skills
