Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our Export, PA location.

POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or II

Classroom Assistant III

• Bachelors (Required)
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

Classroom Assistant II

• Associates (Required)
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Classroom Assistant

• Planning and implementing activities to enhance students skills.
• Assisting in implementing the students IEP.
• Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
• Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
• Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of students

BENEFITS

• Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 7-hours days. Working full time, 35 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant III is $23.00. The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant II is $20.00. We do offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
