About the Role

We are looking for a highly hands-on Anthropic / Claude Agentic AI Architect to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI agents using Anthropic Claude.

This role is not primarily a strategy or advisory position. The successful candidate must be able to personally build agents, integrate them with enterprise systems and tools, and take agentic solutions from concept through production.

You will design AI agents capable of reasoning, using tools, accessing enterprise knowledge, executing workflows, collaborating with other agents, and operating safely within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and build production-grade AI agents using Anthropic Claude.
2. Develop agentic workflows where Claude can reason, plan, use tools, retrieve information, and execute actions.
3. Build single-agent and multi-agent systems for complex business processes.

Integrate Claude agents with:

1. Enterprise APIs
2. Databases
3. SaaS applications
4. Internal business systems
5. Knowledge bases
6. Search and retrieval systems

External tools and services

1. Implement tool use / function calling so agents can perform real-world actions.
2. Design agent memory, context management, state management, and conversation workflows.
3. Build RAG-based agents capable of securely retrieving and reasoning over enterprise data.
4. Design agent orchestration, routing, delegation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
5. Develop and implement MCP-based integrations and tools where appropriate.
6. Create robust system prompts, agent instructions, tool definitions, and context strategies.
7. Develop evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, and cost.
8. Implement guardrails and controls to prevent unsafe, incorrect, or unauthorised agent actions.
9. Build observability and monitoring for production AI agents.
10. Optimise agent performance, token consumption, latency, and operational cost.
11. Prototype new agentic capabilities and rapidly convert successful POCs into production solutions.
12. Establish reusable agent architecture patterns, frameworks, and engineering standards.
13. Work with product, engineering, security, and business teams to identify processes that can be automated using AI agents.

Must-Have Skills

1. Deep hands-on experience building AI agents with Anthropic Claude.
2. Strong understanding of Claude APIs and agentic capabilities.
3. Demonstrated experience taking an AI agent from POC to production.
4. Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
5. Experience implementing LLM tool use, function calling, structured outputs, and API integrations.
6. Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search, and enterprise knowledge retrieval.

Experience building agent workflows involving:

1. Planning
2. Reasoning
3. Tool selection
4. Tool execution
5. Error handling
6. Retries
7. Human approval
8. State management
9. Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) is highly desirable.
10. Experience designing multi-agent architectures.
11. Understanding of LLM evaluation and agent testing.
12. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
13. Strong understanding of API security, IAM, data privacy, and enterprise security.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate practical experience with Claude, including:

1. Claude API integration
2. Claude model selection
3. Prompt and context engineering
4. Tool use
5. Agentic workflows
6. Structured outputs
7. Long-context applications
8. RAG with Claude
9. MCP integrations
10. Agent evaluation
11. Claude-based production applications
12. Anthropic / Claude certification is strongly preferred and may be required depending on the level of the role.
