Job Purpose

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment within a school setting, ensuring classrooms, communal areas and facilities are cleaned to a high standard for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors and communal areas.

• Clean toilets, washrooms and welfare facilities.

• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.

• Dust and sanitise surfaces and touch points.

• Empty bins and manage waste disposal.

• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies.

• Follow cleaning schedules and site procedures.

• Maintain safe and hygienic standards throughout the school.

• Report maintenance and health & safety concerns.

Essential Experience Required

• Previous cleaning experience.

• Experience within schools, educational facilities or public buildings desirable.

• Good attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently.

• Reliable and punctual approach to work.

• Understanding of cleaning methods and hygiene standards.

Additional Information to Note

• Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week.

• Monday to Friday.

• Split Shift Pattern:

• 06:30am – 08:30am
  
• 03:30pm – 06:00pm
