Title: Cleaning Crew
Supervisor: 770 Supervisor
Classification: PT2: Non-Exempt
Position Description: Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Cleaning Crew Member is responsible for cleaning and keeping areas sanitary and immaculate. This position is expected to display and practice a work style that reflects the mission and values of Rancho Community Church and Schools.
Job Specific Duties:
- Be a productive and active team member. Maintain work schedules in performing tasks.
- Clean and sanitize all areas; buildings, sidewalks, lunch areas, offices, hallways, classrooms, stairways, sanctuaries, etc. or as assigned
- Clean all building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting or vacuuming
- Gather and empty trash and trash containers, as needed
- Service, clean, sanitize and supply restrooms
- Clean, polish and/or dust furniture, fixtures walls, machines and equipment, windows and mirrors
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage or injury
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties
- Demonstrate safe practices in the department
- Participate in Operations department meetings, workshops and/or seminars.
- Demonstrate teamwork in the department and maintain a pleasant appearance and demeanor
- Notify managers concerning the need for all repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
