Clerical Assistant L1-2, Brooklyn & Queens Clerical Support
Brooklyn/Queens Control Center is looking for a qualified candidate to join their team as a Clerical Assistant. We are seeking a highly organized and detailed-oriented clerical professional with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage data, reports and documentation with precision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can effectively support both internal teams and external customers. The role requires accuracy, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneously.

- Candidate should demonstrate outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- This individual should be capable of prioritize daily tasks and adapting to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- The successful candidate will need to engage with customers regularly, both internal and external.
- Responsibilities entail reviewing and filing documents and compiling various system reports.
- Maintain and manage spreadsheets, reports and tracking systems with high accuracy.
- Learn and navigate internal and external systems (e.g Oracle, ArcFM, eGIS, WMS, CRMS, NMS, CIAS etc)
- Ensure compliance with departmental standards and performance metrics (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time).
- Participate in any cross-training assignments within the department.
- Candidate must be available to report in-person during ICS (Incident Command System) events and travel to company locations as necessary to support restoration efforts on morning/night shift. This requirement ensures operational effectiveness and continuity, particularly in response to critical events where in-person coordination is necessary.

- Must possess excellent organizational skills, including computer skills and competency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word). Required
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required for frequent interaction with Manager, Planners, Supervisors, and Field Crews. Required
- Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Required
- Previous experience in the utility industry is preferred. Preferred

- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
