KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily accounting reconciliations, analyze account data, and support the preparation of routine financial reports.
Maintain accounting records for day-to-day transactions in line with applicable accounting policies, standards, and internal controls.
Complete bank reconciliations and investigate, resolve, and document reconciling items in a timely manner.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts (e.g., banks, intercompany, suppliers, customers).
Review invoices for completeness and accuracy and prepare payment instructions in line with approval requirements.
Support the preparation of statutory reporting packages and periodic financial statements for local and group reporting needs.
Assist with preparation of VAT returns and tax-related reporting, coordinating inputs and supporting documentation as required.
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including schedules, confirmations, and audit support documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes, maintain accurate filing/records, and meet internal deadlines and client expectations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Basic understanding of general accounting principles and willingness to learn statutory, VAT, and tax reporting requirements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, audit, or finance operations.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting software and bank platforms.
Exposure to VAT preparation and/or Cyprus accounting and reporting practices.
Progress toward a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or equivalent).
