CLIENT ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

About the Position

We are seeking a Client Accounting Associate to join one of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial reports and year-end accounts. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data while supporting day-to-day accounting operations and broader business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Input and maintain accounting transactions within the accounting system.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Process accounting journals and maintain accurate financial data within accounting software.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and accounts.
• Prepare and generate financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and analyze financial information to identify and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support various accounting functions and contribute to business projects and initiatives as required.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas requiring attention.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification or certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
• Experience working with Australian and/or Singaporean accounting standards and practices is highly preferred.
• Experience with Xero is advantageous.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience analyzing financial and statistical data to identify discrepancies and trends.
