Medivet Oldham Chadderton | 30 hours per week

Are you a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual who loves helping people and their pets? 🐾 We’re looking for a Client Care Assistant to join our fantastic team at Medivet Oldham Chadderton, working 30 hours per week.

About our practice

Oldham Chadderton is a busy, well-equipped practice with a brilliant, close-knit team who work together to provide outstanding care for our clients and their pets.

Our team consists of a Branch Partner, two Veterinary Surgeons, three Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Student Veterinary Nurse, a Veterinary Care Assistant and two part-time receptionists. We pride ourselves on our supportive team environment, excellent facilities and collaborative approach to patient care.

We also have a Veterinary Surgeon with a particular interest in exotics, giving the team exposure to a varied and interesting caseload!

About the role

As a Client Care Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, helping to ensure every client and their pet receives an excellent experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a warm, friendly and professional welcome to clients and their pets.
  • Managing appointments, telephone enquiries and general reception duties.
  • Supporting the veterinary team with the smooth running of the practice.
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records.
  • Keeping the reception and waiting areas clean, tidy and welcoming.
  • Providing compassionate support to clients and helping make every visit as positive as possible.

Working pattern

This is a 30-hour-per-week role, working Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm – 7:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid break each day.

The role will also include weekend reception cover at our Ashton branch, on either a 1 in 6 full weekends or a 1 in 3 Saturday rota.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, organised and confident communicating with a wide range of people. You’ll enjoy working as part of a busy team, be comfortable juggling multiple tasks and have a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Previous customer service or reception experience would be beneficial, and an interest in animal welfare is a bonus. Most importantly, you’ll bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

Why join us?

If you’re looking to join a welcoming team where you can make a real difference to clients, their pets and the wider practice, we’d love to hear from you!
