Supervises and assists climbers at an indoor rock-climbing wall, ensuring safety and teaching basic climbing techniques to members of all ages.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the go-to person at the wall — checking gear, running belays, and making sure every climber (first-timer or seasoned pro) has a great, safe experience. Day to day, that looks like:
- Enforcing climbing wall policies and keeping the space running smoothly
- Belaying and spotting climbers, including auto-belay supervision
- Teaching YMCA's climbing curriculum to new participants
- Checking equipment and the facility at open/close and flagging issues right away
- Confirming who's eligible to climb and walking members through harnesses, belay devices, and shoes
- Keeping attendance logs, equipment inventory, and belay certification records up to date
- Filling out required forms and checklists accurately
- Knowing and prepared to execute emergency response procedures
