Clinic Assistant
Roles & Responsibilities
The Clinic Assistant will be the responsible for providing excellent patient care (non-clinical) at the centre, and is responsible for:
- Manage daily clinic operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Ensure a high level of patient service, addressing patient needs with care and professionalism.
- Answer phone calls promptly and provide clear, helpful responses to patient inquiries.
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling efficiently.
- Register and verify patient details accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Taking basic parameters for patients such as blood pressure, temperature, height and weight.
- Prepare consultation documents for doctors before every consultation session.
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and provide chaperone support when required.
- Booking of diagnostic and/or laboratory services for patients, and follow up with tracing of results.
- Booking of hospital facilities for patient procedures.
- Submitting requests for LOGs, and following up with insurances on LOG approval before patient procedures.
- Financial counselling on Medisave/Medishield and insurance coverage matters.
- Prepare billings accurately and collect payments efficiently.
- Provide assistance on private and corporate health insurance coverage and Medisave requirements to ensure claims are submitted properly.
- Assist clinic manager to pack/top up medications and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in clinic.
- Any other ad-hoc administrative matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in clinic operations or healthcare administration.
- Pro-active to patients’ needs and able to communicate effectively and work effectively with others in the team and organisation to accomplish team and organisation goals.
- Good communication skills and patient service.
- Team player who is humble, hardworking, responsible and takes initiative.
- An advantage would be the ability to handle Plato-Clinic management software, as well as demonstrate proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office).
