What You’ll Do

• Perform laboratory testing and analyze patient specimens to support accurate, timely diagnoses and treatment decisions.

• Collect, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

• Perform quality control procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

• Communicate laboratory results and critical values promptly and appropriately to healthcare providers.

• Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards.

• Work collaboratively with laboratory colleagues, nursing staff, providers, and other hospital departments.

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to help ensure laboratory services are available when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Appropriate education and training for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) position.

• Relevant MLT or MLS certification, such as ASCP or an equivalent recognized credential, as applicable to the position.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, reliable results.

• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

• Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
