Clinic Manager
Overview
The Clinic Manager is accountable for the supervision and implementation of methods and procedures involved in operating a doctor’s office or group of doctors’ offices.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the initiation of billing activities and the posting of daily charges and adjustments to outpatient accounts.
- Supervises the preparation of daily bank deposits and daily income registers and accounts for clinic cash receipts and deposits with the Business Office on a daily basis.
- Supervises the maintenance of clinic records and office expenditures.
- Coordinates activities between the clinic and various hospital departments.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines clinic employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree and one (1) year of experience in the management of a segment of a healthcare program; or
- Two (2) years of experience in a hospital Business Office, including one (1) year in a hospital or physician office setting and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of business office and clinic procedures.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain positive relationships with groups, individuals, and physicians.
- Familiarity with physician office equipment and office machines.
