Description

Where You’ll Work

From primary to specialty care, as well as walk-in and virtual services, CHI Health Clinic delivers more options and better access so you can spend time on what matters: being healthy. We offer more than 20 specialties and 100 convenient locations; with some clinics offering extended hours.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) working in our amazing and growing Urology Clinic at the CUMC-Bergan Campus, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Why Urology?

  • Unlike acute hospital settings where you see patients briefly during a crisis or surgery, urology clinic nurses track and care for patients over months or years. You build deep, trusting relationships as patients return for follow-up visits, cancer survivorship care, or chronic disease management
  • You develop deep expertise in specific, high-demand areas like catheter and bladder management, kidney stone care, urodynamic studies, prostate health, and oncology follow-up. Hands-on office procedures (such as specialized catheterizations, bladder instillations, and assisting with diagnostics like cystoscopies) add strong technical variety to your day
  • Urology patients frequently deal with sensitive, deeply personal topics—including sexual health, fertility, incontinence, and cancer diagnoses. As the clinic RN you play a vital, compassionate role in de-escalating anxiety, providing education, and supporting people through vulnerable health moments

To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancements

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established clinic workflows.
  • May perform specific nursing care as it relates to the specialty of the practice.
  • Obtain and document health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assess disease conditions.
  • Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
