ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Clinical Assistant, you will provide essential support to our team of Radiographers, Sonographers, and Nurses while ensuring patients receive a high standard of care at our busy South West Health Campus in Bunbury.

This is a role, offering flexibility and exposure across multiple imaging services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting radiographers and other clinical staff during imaging procedures
  • Supporting patient care by understanding relevant clinical backgrounds and ensuring accurate patient identification
  • Preparing and supporting patients before, during, and after imaging examinations
  • Undertaking patient cannulation and preparation for imaging across multiple modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and interventional procedures
  • Obtaining and confirming patient consent in accordance with clinical and organisational policies
  • Patient transport and provision of general clinical assistance
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment
  • Stock management and preparation of imaging equipment
  • Adhering to infection control standards and workplace health and safety requirements

About You

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance or similar (preferred but not required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused
  • Flexible availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
