Clinical Coding Specialist, Health Information Management Services
Summary
Oversee clinical coding to ensure high-quality health data and optimal reimbursement, lead training, and participate in quality audits and Ministry of Health expert panels.
You will be responsible for the management of clinical coding in achieving a high level of clinical data quality and optimizing the casemix reimbursement. You will be providing proactive leadership to maximise Clinical Coders’ performance through conducting continuing education and training as well as internal quality audits. You will also be required to participate in quality improvement activities and serve on the coding expert panel at Ministry of Health.
Requirements
- Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent with at least 4 years’ relevant working experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position
- Diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent with at least 8 years’ related experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position
- Advance Clinical Classification Certificate in ICD-10-AM Coding or relevant coding experience in a hospital setting
- Graduate Certificate in Casemix Management is highly advantageous
- Pleasant personality and able to relate to all levels of staff
- Meticulous with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
