Clinical Counsellor / clinical Psychotherapists

Alliance Counselling is seeking an experienced Clinical Counsellor / Clinical Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families while contributing to clinical leadership, supervision, programme development and multidisciplinary collaboration.

This is a senior clinical position requiring extensive experience delivering high-quality therapeutic services within an ethical, client-centred framework. This job requires working on Saturday

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and intake consultations.
• Develop, implement and review individualised treatment plans.
• Provide counselling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
• Deliver trauma-informed interventions for a broad range of emotional, behavioural and mental health concerns.
• Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments and safety planning where clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, schools, medical practitioners and other allied health professionals to support coordinated client care.
• Conduct parent consultations and family sessions where appropriate.
• Prepare professional clinical reports and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Develop and deliver psychoeducational workshops, corporate training and community presentations.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and case consultation to counsellors and other mental health professionals, where appropriate.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of specialist clinical programmes, services and evidence-informed practice initiatives.
• Maintain professional standards in accordance with ethical and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy or another recognised mental health discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification clinical experience.
• Eligibility for registration or membership with a recognised professional counselling or psychotherapy association.
• Demonstrated experience providing counselling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults and families.
• Experience conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment planning and clinical documentation.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and report-writing skills.

• Trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy.
• Child and adolescent mental health.
• Family counselling and parent consultation.
• Safeguarding, child protection and clinical risk assessment.
• Crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
• Grief, loss and adjustment counselling.
• Clinical supervision and mentoring of mental health professionals.
• Programme development, service innovation or clinical leadership.
• Development and delivery of psychoeducational workshops and mental health training.
• Experience working with culturally diverse local and international client populations.
