EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Clinical Director/ Psychologist to join the Queens Mental Health Diversion Program.
- Wage: $165,000 annually
- Schedule: 9AM to 5PM, Monday- Friday
- Location: 120-34 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens, NY
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Clinical Director/Psychologist serves as the primary clinical lead for Queens mental health diversion, forensic evaluation, and developing intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) services. The position conducts and oversees comprehensive psychological and forensic evaluations to inform court decision-making, release planning, and eligibility for Alternatives to Incarceration. The Clinical Director/Psychologist also ensures the quality and consistency of assessments and reports, supervises clinical staff, develops treatment recommendations, and provides consultation to courts and program partners.
What are the key responsibilities:
- Ability to conduct time-sensitive forensic evaluations within court-driven deadlines.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological, violence risk, cognitive, and IDD assessment instruments.
- Knowledge of justice-involved populations, behavioral health needs, and appropriate IDD accommodations within correctional and diversion settings.
- Ability to synthesize complex clinical, collateral, and risk-related information into structured reports and treatment plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including court-facing documentation, testimony, legal consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to supervise, train, and support clinical staff while maintaining quality and consistency across the program.
