Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments and reviews of medical histories for new and prospective patients.
- Triage inbound referrals, evaluate clinical eligibility, and determine urgency to route patients to the appropriate care pathways.
- Partner closely with physicians, infusion nurses, and billing/intake specialists to ensure smooth care transitions and onboarding.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with prior authorizations, insurance requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education regarding care expectations, initial appointments, and next steps in their treatment plan.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan (or Compact License).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (intake, triage, utilization review, home health, or outpatient clinical specialty preferred).
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities, excellent verbal/written communication, and proficiency with EHR software and office technology.
