Clinical Laboratory Scientist
About the Position: This position is located at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, Fort George G. Meade, MD. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Maintains a current procedural manual, reviewing and revising as needed.
Assists personnel within assigned area in developing procedures, manuals, quality control, inventory, workload recording, etc., in accordance with the mission of the Department of Pathology and guidelines of inspecting/accrediting agencies.
Performs and/or monitors routine, ASAP, and STAT tests using manual and/or instrumental techniques in accordance with established protocols.
Recognizes and reacts to indicators of malfunction; locates and implements corrections.
Organizes a comprehensive training plan of laboratory area to be covered.
Performs and/or assists in the training of personnel rotating through the laboratory.
