Clinical Laboratory Scientist

About the Position: This position is located within Brooke Army Medical Center's Department of Pathology in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Advance in Hire May Be Authorized Recruitment Incentive may be authorized. Advance Leave Accrual Authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Process specimens using equipment, instruments, or techniques that are necessary to prepare them for specific analysis

Prepare reagents, assemble equipment, verify correct instrument operation

Correlate quantitative, biochemical, physiologic, and morphologic data with other laboratory data and/or other patient data ( history, physical findings, medications) to verify results.

Record results through a variety of data entry modes into laboratory computer systems, and retrieve information from the computer upon physician requests.

Evaluate the validity of data in relation to the test system and assay procedures.
