Clinical Optometrist
At The Straits Eye Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to professional and compassionate eye care. We’re looking for a dedicated Clinical Optometrist to be part of this meaningful mission.
Your Role:
- Conduct refraction and prescribe glasses to improve vision clarity
- Manage myopia and other refractive conditions
- Perform eye investigations using advanced ophthalmic equipment
- Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment for smooth day-to-day operations
- Carry out vision screenings and support outreach programmes in the community
- Provide warm, community-based customer service to patients
- Collaborate with doctors and the clinic team to ensure seamless, high-quality care
Who We’re Looking For:
- ✔ Diploma in Optometry (or equivalent)
- ✔ Registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) — pre-registered candidates are welcome
- ✔ Able to work independently and confidently in a community clinic setting
- ✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ✔ Passionate about delivering meaningful care to patients of all ages
