Position Summary

The Clinical Program Manager provides leadership, oversight, and coordination for clinical programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services. This role is responsible for program operations, clinical quality, staff development, regulatory compliance, and achievement of program goals and outcomes.

The Clinical Program Manager works closely with clinical staff, organizational leadership, community partners, and other stakeholders to ensure services are effective, consistent, compliant, and responsive to the needs of the individuals served.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Program Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of assigned clinical programs and services.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with organizational policies, clinical standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Support implementation of evidence-based and best-practice approaches to service delivery.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective or improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to care.

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Supervise, coach, and support clinical and program staff as assigned.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Facilitate individual and team supervision, case consultation, and staff meetings as appropriate.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide timely feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professional development, and a positive workplace culture.

Quality and Compliance

  • Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, quality, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, licensing reviews, accreditation activities, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure staff understand and follow applicable policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
  • Identify clinical, operational, and safety risks and escalate concerns appropriately.

Program Operations

  • Coordinate program workflows, staffing needs, service capacity, scheduling, and other operational requirements.
  • Monitor program performance indicators, service utilization, productivity, and outcomes.
  • Analyze program data and prepare reports for organizational leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish program goals, priorities, and improvement strategies.
  • Support responsible use of program resources and assist with budget monitoring as assigned.

Care Coordination and Collaboration

  • Promote effective coordination of services across clinical teams and community partners.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and complex case consultations as needed.
  • Assist with resolving service barriers, clinical concerns, and escalated client or stakeholder issues.
