About the Position: This position falls under the Defense Health Agency, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth at the Tricare Prime Clinic Chesapeake, Virginia, providing a team-based approach to healthcare to deliver evidence-based biopsychosocial assessment, treatment, prevention and management of mental health problems and bio psychosocially influenced health conditions for Military Health System beneficiaries. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
