Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health)
About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) located in the Psychology Services on Fort Gordon, Georgia. The primary purpose of the Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health ) position is to provide individual and/or group therapy to assess acute mental health conditions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Make mental health diagnoses in accordance with the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) when differential diagnosis is required.
Provide individual and group treatment using evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
Perform PCMH biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
Evaluate clinical records and monitors all objective instrument administration and scoring for quality assurance.
